Day 23 Lima,Mt to Redrocks Rv and camping, Id

Today  we rode 75.31 miles and had 2874 ft of elevation gain. We rode out of Lima after another triple mocha and a egg sandwich for breakfast. We hit gravel  and dirt roads almost immediately. The road surfaces  varied a great deal from fine gravel, crushed  rock to dirt. When we got to the dirt portions we could see how bad it was when  we got those rains last week. The ruts were sometimes  6" deep. The roads varied  in elevation, up and down  all day.  We reached the Montana/Idaho  border on the Continental Divide at Red Rocks Pass. There have been lots of range cows for the last three days. Of course  we had wind most of the day.  We passed through the Red Rocks Wildlife Refuge. We made it to the Red Rocks Rv park and campground just before a big wind and rain storm hit. Dinner tonight  was Knors fettuccine alfredo  and tuna.
