Post ride across the country

My journey  continues as I  now explore Washington DC. The train comes out to Vienna, so I  bought a three day pass to ride the Metro train. It takes about a hour and drops you off in the National Mall. My plan was to see most of the monuments today and go to museums on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is spread out over a large area, so I got plenty of exercise. I had to really look to find the White House. You can't get very close. The sculpture  picture was titled "Aurora" and for some reason it made sense. I  did make it to the Holocaust and the American  Indian museums today. More exploring  the next couple of days, then I have to pack.

  2. DC is an interesting Historical place with a lot of things to see for sure. Was there years ago during our Grade School years with my family.
If you see Forrest Gump and Jennie at the Reflecting Pool and National Monument, please take a pic 🙃. Hopefully the summer weather is pleasant for you too.

  3. You were standing right outside my old office window as you took the photo of the Washington Monument. Like your bike ride, you are covering a lot of ground in a short time. Enjoy!

  4. The Wall is a sobering experience each and every time I walk through, more so after dark when the tourists are gone and the vets start to visit/heal….
