Day 49 Dunkirk,Md to Harbeson, De

Day 49 Dunkirk,  Md to Harbeson, De 65 miles. My host Gary made me a great breakfast  of eggs and a bagel. We loaded the truck and we headed for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Gary said traffic  was light as we crossed  the 4 1/2 mile bridge. We soon got into bumper to bumper  traffic and I mapped  out my ride and had him pull over on a side road. We unloaded my bike and gear, I  thanked him, we shook  hands, and away  I went. I couldn't  thank Gary enough for everything he and Jan did for me. The ride today was really flat with a tailwind quite offen. I was surprised  how much Delaware  looks  like Iowa  farmland. Who  can say they have worn-out  a bicycle  seat? I was Jonesing for a coffee and some good pastries and found a great place that  had good coffee  and a peach cinnamon roll. My Warmshower host is 13 miles west from Rehoboth Beach.  I chose to ride to the house and save the last 13 miles to the end of my journey for Sunday  morning. My host will not be  home until 9 tonight, but left a wonderful  meal of pasta and salmon in a cooler on their front porch. One more SHORT day tomorrow.
