Day 12 Eureka, Mt to Whitefish, Mt 56 miles.I just want to say when you camp in a city park it attracts  some of the crazy locals. There was a guy wondering  around the park until  around 2am growling and yelling "here dog". I hope he found him. The sprinklers  came on around 8:30 at night , so I scrambled  to move my tent and belongings The sign said they would come on at 7 Am. My information  told me my route was mostly  flat today,  it lied.  Lots of big rollers with a headwind. I'm  staying in Whitefish Lake State Park in a hiker/ biker site.  They set aside a area just for those of us who don't  really know how far we will get. I went in to town and  had a wonderful  Ceasar Salad for a late lunch. The middle photo is Whitefish ski hill, one of my favorite  places to ski. Life is good!

 Day 50 Harbeson, De to Rehoboth Beach, De 17 miles. My morning started out with a great breakfast from my Warmshower  host Brad. His wife Ann wanted to lead me on the trails to Rehoboth Beach. She was good  company along the ride. A lot of people  on the trail greeted her by name.  Ann pointed out the back yard of skeletons . It reminded  me of a similar  scene  in Gillette, Wy. She broke off about a mile to the beach to go visit her mother. As I was just getting to the end of the road three cyclists asked me how far I  had come from. When I  told them I  was just now completing  my  ride across the country  they volunteered  to help get me and my bicycle  to the water for pictures. I had a yummy coffee then enjoyed walking on the boardwalk. I locked my bike and walked along the waters edge for quite a ways. It was nice to feel the waves crash against  my legs.  After riding 3650 miles, climbed 116,886 vertical  feet, and went from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. It is with heavy heart that this is my last post for my bicycle  ride across America. I had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful interesting people along the way. Big and little acts of kindness that lifted my spirits. Kim and his wife that offered  me shelter and food on a rainy  day in Port Angeles. The closed bicycle  shop in Okanagan, Wa that opened  on a Saturday  morning  to replace my seat post. The Lutheran church in Havillah, Wa that provided  me shelter and food. The people at the top of Boulder Pass  that give me water when I needed it. Rodney in Lolo, Mt that shared his apple crisp. The family  that gave me and my  bicycle  a ride to Gillette, wy when my rear wheel failed.  Day 46 North Mountain to Indian Flats hiker biker campsite,  76 miles. It rained all night. I layed in the tent until about 6:30 when the  rain stopped. I have a horrible  time with tear down  and cooking breakfast, takes to long. I rolled out around 8:30 with everything  wet. Much  dryer  day and the Towpath  was much better maintained. I stopped in  Williamsport for lunch supplies  and a yummy mocha. Talked to several  people along the Towpath about my adventure. I'm  so proud  I  love to share. Staying at a beautiful  hiker biker campsite  tonight  called  Indian Flats. Great views of the river. and I'm  the only one here.
