Im having three zero days

 Taking  Sun - Tues off as I  wait for my replacement  wheel that Doug Hirsch  has arranged  to be delivered  on Tuesday. Yet  another  angel has entered  my life. I got a Motel room for 4 nights. I've Been enjoying a bed and TV. I got my clothes  washed and have put together  a package of dead weight to mail back to Betty.  I got  a yummy Chicago  style pizza  to go and strapped it to the rack on my bicycle. This morning I  realized I can repair  the leak in my sleeping pad because I have a bathtub  of water to find the leak. I've  been walking about  a mile to get my Mocha and came across a interesting  yard. I experienced  my first  Good thunderstorm tonight. Fingers crossed the wheel shows up tomorrow

    Happy the Doug was able to make arrangements.....but he's no AMAZON PRIME. Those people are amazing. Oh well. Watch the eating of too much cheese products. You've still got a way to go. 👍😎💪🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

    Hope the wheel arrives early in the day and you can get on your way. You are still welcome to stop here (Ankeny) if it’s near your route to sleep, shower, and do laundry. You do have until Sunday morning, to get to Sioux City. I will have a truck with us on RAGBRAI and could provide you some transportation if you need it to catch up or maybe catch up mid week when the mileage is lower. Let me know if I can help. Patrick, Sherry and I are sharing the driving/riding. Staying with Bike World same as Doug H. Lisa M.

    Here's hoping yesterday found you getting your tire fixed and that you're back on the road! Sounds like you have a lot of friends along the way who are willing to give you a hand...it's good to know you are not all alone! Can't wait to read the next installment. Hugs, Audrey

 Day 50 Harbeson, De to Rehoboth Beach, De 17 miles. My morning started out with a great breakfast from my Warmshower  host Brad. His wife Ann wanted to lead me on the trails to Rehoboth Beach. She was good  company along the ride. A lot of people  on the trail greeted her by name.  Ann pointed out the back yard of skeletons . It reminded  me of a similar  scene  in Gillette, Wy. She broke off about a mile to the beach to go visit her mother. As I was just getting to the end of the road three cyclists asked me how far I  had come from. When I  told them I  was just now completing  my  ride across the country  they volunteered  to help get me and my bicycle  to the water for pictures. I had a yummy coffee then enjoyed walking on the boardwalk. I locked my bike and walked along the waters edge for quite a ways. It was nice to feel the waves crash against  my legs. My journey is over

 After riding 3650 miles, climbed 116,886 vertical  feet, and went from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. It is with heavy heart that this is my last post for my bicycle  ride across America. I had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful interesting people along the way. Big and little acts of kindness that lifted my spirits. Kim and his wife that offered  me shelter and food on a rainy  day in Port Angeles. The closed bicycle  shop in Okanagan, Wa that opened  on a Saturday  morning  to replace my seat post. The Lutheran church in Havillah, Wa that provided  me shelter and food. The people at the top of Boulder Pass  that give me water when I needed it. Rodney in Lolo, Mt that shared his apple crisp. The family  that gave me and my  bicycle  a ride to Gillette, wy when my rear wheel failed.  Day 46 North Mountain to Indian Flats hiker biker campsite,  76 miles. It rained all night. I layed in the tent until about 6:30 when the  rain stopped. I have a horrible  time with tear down  and cooking breakfast, takes to long. I rolled out around 8:30 with everything  wet. Much  dryer  day and the Towpath  was much better maintained. I stopped in  Williamsport for lunch supplies  and a yummy mocha. Talked to several  people along the Towpath about my adventure. I'm  so proud  I  love to share. Staying at a beautiful  hiker biker campsite  tonight  called  Indian Flats. Great views of the river. and I'm  the only one here.
