Day 23 Cody, Wy to Ten Sleep, Wy

Day 23 Cody, Wy to Ten Sleep, Wy 103 miles. The morning  was once again beautiful. I was fortunate  to have either  a tail wind or a cross wind most of the day. Not much to see  between  these two towns. It is still a interesting landscape, but for the longest  time there were  no ranches,  cows, crops, or wildlife. Just wide open spaces. I made it to Ten Sleep, Wy. Ten Sleep got it's  name because of the way the Indians  measured  distance. It was ten sleeps one way to Yellowstone and ten sleeps  the other way to Fort Laramie. I'm  once again in a Rv park that has set aside a great grassy area  with huge shade trees for tent travelers.

  2. I’ve been through Ten Sleep going the opposite direction and remember a canyon and a significant “hill”. I’m assuming that’s what you’ll be enjoying tomorrow? It was the oddest eye/mind game as it looked like the river was flowing uphill through that canyon. It will be interesting to see if you experience that going the opposite direction. Pretty area to be sure!

  3. No cows , no ranches, so what song were you singing in your head. I alsways found it interesting what song popped in my head based on the terrain or whether I was riding in!
RideStrong Rick. 103 miles is a great day for sure.
