Day 15 Ronan, Mt to Lolo, Mt
Day 15 Ronan, Mt to Lolo,Mt, 79 miles. I forgot to post I saw a black bear cross the Hwy about 150 feet in front of me yesterday. He was in a hurry! Highway 93 from Polson to I-90 was pretty busy, fortunately the shoulder was nice and wide. I had a view of the Mission Mountains a lot of the day. I got into Missoula and visited Adventure Cycling's headquarters. It was nice to connect with the folks that researched the maps I'm using for a good portion of my ride. I got totally turned around on Missoula's trail system trying to get on the Bitterroot Trail that goes all the way to Hamilton. John, a 81 year old man on his bike saw my confused look and rode me right to the correct trail. We chatted as we rode, that man has bicycled all over the world back in the 70's and early 80's. I would have loved to buy him a coffee and hear more of his stories. I'm staying in Lolo at the Yellowstone campground. It's nice and quiet tonight. One of the other campers is bringing me apple crisp. Thanks Roday
